It doesn't look that way, does it?

The error you get in your Apache logs is because your script is not
returning the right HTTP headers. Further work is needed on your part to
ensure that your script works at all, perhaps by running it on the
command line.

Does suPHP work with a basic PHP "<? echo 'hello world'l ?>" script? If
you extend that to include environment variables, do you get what you
expect?
